Departure Films is casting 2 experienced television hosts (21+, all ethnicities) who are authentic science enthusiasts to lead new series that explains the science of everyday life in a fun, cool way. Expanding on a popular book series, the hosts will teach kids (ages 6-12) the mechanics, processes, histories and science of things their everyday lives depend on. Talent will work both in-studio and on location doing in-person interviews and docu-style segments with subject experts and kids.
Looking for:
- Strong on-camera skills including stand-ups, interviews and making complex ideas accessible & entertaining.
- Comedy/improv skills + creative thinker
- Knack for fun + upbeat, outgoing and likeable
- Genuine Passion for science with a desire to explore science, technology & world around them.
- Experience & ease working with kids & adults in a variety of situations/locations.
NOTE: Talent must be bondable to work with kids 6-12 (i.e. pass a background check for working with minors)

Series – if picked up – will shoot over 2-3 month period in Q1-2, 2020.
